| At the end of a short tunnel running off the east Don River, is a giant metal mushroom-shaped pad. The purpose of this pad is to reduce the impact of the water falling onto it from a pair of smaller tunnels, maybe 25 feet above it. This photo is as close as I could get to showing the dropshaft, without the lens getting covered in mist. I got totally soaked lighting this one. Twice. |
